Welcome to our shop!
So glad you have stopped by to see everything we offer. Our goal is to meet the quilter's and sewist's need for quality fabrics, excellent notions and tools, and amazing patterns. We also want to help increase the number of quilters and sewists in today's world. We want all of the old arts of sewing, quilting, embroidery, cross stitch, crocheting, and knitting to continue to used and learned by folks. We don't want the arts to become something no one does. Join our newsletter/Southern Stitchers and receive all the latest news (new products, classes, and other things like tips and tricks) Be sure to check out our classes and block of the month offerings. We also are very community driven and give back to our community. We actively support Project Linus and Quilts of Valor. We also support the children through offering classes for Girl Scouts (and other girls clubs) and Boy Scouts (and other boys clubs) so that they can earn their sewing badge. We also support our local community by participating in fundraising and awareness campaigns for things like new park equipment and such.

As part of our desire to give back to and support the community, Elva has partnered with Project Linus as a Chapter Coordinator for George County MS. The Quilting and Stitches shop will be a Blanket Drop location. These blankets are for children 0-18 years of age who are experiencing some type of trauma, whether a major illness, home fire, abuse, foster care, or some other type of trauma. Elva will be looking blanketeers, those who so graciously make and donate these needed blankets. Blankets should be homemade - quilt, fleece sewn or no sew/tied, crochet, or knit. These blankets truly mean a great deal, not just to the child receiving the blanket, but also to the parents or guardians. Please reach out to Elva for more information or to become a blanketeer. You can reach her at 832-754-1300 or elva.pflug@gmail.com. Thank you for taking time to read about this project.
